Define Your Framework

business framework coaching blueprint create your method surfacing your methodology women in business Jan 18, 2026

Hey Friends, Happy New Year.

At the very beginning of the year, I want to talk to you about something that is very close to my heart when it comes to business, and something I clearly identified as a major need for women in 2025.

Again and again, this issue comes up in my Bhakti Business programs, whether in free offerings or in my intensive three-month group program. I keep seeing the same sticking point for women in business.

As you begin planning for 2026 (and I truly hope you are, because planning in business is everything), I want to talk about what my coach and mentor Kelly Diels calls surfacing your methodology, and what I also describe as creating structure, a framework, or a business blueprint around what you actually do.

What Does 'Surfacing Your Methodology' Mean?

Far too many women in business are doing powerful, meaningful work, but they’ve never fully articulated how they do it.

I want to invite you, as this new year begins, to sit down and write out:

  • What is it that you do?

  • What is your process?

  • What questions do you ask clients again and again?

  • What teachings or explanations do you repeat frequently?

If you’re a yoga teacher, what cues or principles do you return to every time?
If you’re a coach, mentor, or healer, what themes keep showing up?

These repetitions are clues to your personal methodology.
They reveal your business framework, even if you’ve never named it before.

The sooner you put language to this, the sooner you gain clarity around your offer, and clarity fuels confidence, marketing, and growth.

Why Your Niche Comes After Your Framework

Many people think niching comes first, but in my experience, it actually comes after you systemise your work.

First you clarify your method, define your process and create your structure.

Then you identify who this work serves best.

When your methodology is clear, your niche naturally becomes easier to define.

Example: Creating a Coaching Framework in Women’s Wellness

Let me give you an example from my own work.

I’m a women’s wellness mentor, and I support women through Ayurveda. Several years ago, I realised that I wasn’t just offering random advice, I was actually guiding women along a clear pathway.

A pathway that moves women from feeling out of balance and having low energy and poor health to sustainable balance and vitality.

Along that pathway are many protocols:

  • Honouring the seasons

  • Sleep and food rhythms

  • Herbal support

  • Sometimes pharmaceutical medicine or even surgery or mainstream medical care

But all of these appear in a specific sequence.

Once I put words to that pathway and created a clear methodology, everything changed. No matter what a woman came to me with, I could see exactly where she was on that path, and what her next step needed to be.

Your Method Is Valid

You might think, “Ayurveda is Ayurveda—who am I to create a framework around it?”

But the truth is, I have my own way of practicing, refined over years of experience. Until a few years ago, I hadn’t codified it and I hadn’t named it. Regardless of what your specialist subject is there will be others who do the 'same' work. But no one does it exactly like you.

Once you define your framework your:

  • Client work becomes clearer

  • Teaching beccomes stronger

  • Marketing becomes easier

Because clarity creates language, and language creates connection.

Business Example: The Bhakti Business Framework

In my Bhakti Business work, I teach through eight pillars—eight essential areas that create a full-spectrum, healthy business.

These pillars are grounded in a combination of yogic philosophy and real-world business experience.

When someone enters my programs, we assess which pillars are strong and which need attention. Even I use this framework for myself.

For example, a woman in business might be strong in:

  • Dharma alignment

  • Discipline

  • Systems

But weaker in:

  • Strategy

  • Creating beauty

  • Community building

This self-assessment is only possible because the framework exists.

Again, this is surfacing methodology—getting clear on what I do, how I do it, and why it works.

Create Your Business Manifesto for 2026

I want to encourage you to:

  • Create your manifesto

  • Define your pillars

  • Map your pathway

Let this become an anchor point for your work in 2026.

Idea to Impact: From Methodology to Book & Digital Program

If you’re really struggling with clarity, my new program Idea to Impact may support you.

It’s a book-writing and digital content creation program.

The first six weeks are entirely focused on clarifying what you offer and defining who it’s for. This then enables you to in creating your framework and language.

If you know you have valuable work inside you (but struggle to describe it) this program is designed for that. We begin in February, and I’ll link it below.

Even If You Don’t Join—Do This One Thing

Even if you don’t join Idea to Impact I strongly encourage you this January to sit down and reflect deeply. Write out what you do and how you do it, putting language to your process.

Another resource I recommend is reading the 'about' pages on my websites, both my yoga / ayurveda work and my business work. They clearly articulate the pathway and strategies I use in my work. Use them for inspiration, not copying, but understanding how structure supports clarity.
