Hi there! We're Katie and Edwina and we run a successful and highly-respected coaching business for yoga teachers. We are also both profit-making yoga teachers (it helps to know the industry you coach in). Over the past few weeks, we’ve had so many thoughtful, honest questions coming into our inboxes and DMs about income, pricing, focus, direction, and sustainability. We have been spending a lot of time responding privately and have realised the answers we’re giving would be helpful for many of you.

In our DMs and emails we are having some great conversations and most of the questions are not unique. They reflect patterns many yoga teachers are navigating right now. We’ve decided to open up a Q + A series and make our thinking public, so everyone can benefit.

If you’re a yoga teacher or spiritual entrepreneur with a question about your business (or just an area in which you’re genuinely stuck or unsure) this is an invitation to ask us.

The Pathway to Profit Q + A is a short, FREE series where you can submit one focused business question, and hear how we would think about it.

We’ll be responding to a curated selection of questions via short audio drops and written reflections (that everyone who registers can access) shared with the group so you all can learn from the patterns, insights, and decision points that come up.

What this is:

We’ll be selecting questions that allow us to offer the most value to the group as a whole. Please note we may not have time to answer every question submitted. If we get two or three questions in the same area we’ll do a generalised ‘on-topic’ answer.

Prefer feedback over a question?

Perhaps you don’t have a specific question right now about your business, but you’d love another set of experienced eyes on your work. 

Often, we don’t know what we don’t know — and it is so useful having someone reflect back what they see.

If that’s you, you’re welcome to submit your website or Instagram handle instead of a question (use the same form link on this page). We’ll offer brief, focused feedback on what stands out, where your positioning could be clearer, and what might help strengthen or elevate your offerings from a profit and service perspective.

This isn’t a full review or redesign but it will give you practical insight into what we notice and where small shifts could make a really helpful difference.

Outside perspective matters

When you’re inside your own business every day, it can be surprisingly hard to see what’s actually going on.

Of course you know your work intimately but that closeness can blur perspective. We have noticed that what feels confusing or overwhelming from the inside becomes clear and straightforward when someone else shines a light on it.

Very often, the solution isn’t complicated it’s just been hidden by proximity (you can't see the wood for the trees).

You’re not lacking ideas or effort. You might just be too close to see the cleanest next step. And in a world of AI and generic answers, personalised 'human' feedback goes a very long way. 

How it works

You submit one focused business question via to google form.

We select a number of questions to respond to.

We share our responses via audio and written notes. Access details will be shared after registration.

What kind of question should you ask?

The best questions are:

  • specific and provide us with a context
  • a real decision you’re facing now
  • focused on one area of uncertainty or challenge

Examples:

  • “I’m teaching a lot but my income hasn’t grown, where is the sticking point likely to be?”
  • “I have several offers and don’t know which one to prioritise this year.”
  • “I want to earn more without adding more classes, what pathways would you look at first?”
  • “Should I focus on in-person work or start building something online?”
  • “My pricing feels too low but I’m unsure how to change it.”

You don’t need the perfect wording just an honest question.

Katie Rose

Katie Rose is a yoga teacher, ayurveda guide, doula and author with over 25 years of experience in the world of wellness. She holds accreditation with both Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia as a registered experienced yoga teacher and teacher trainer with many thousands of teaching hours under her belt.

Katie was the manager of the prestigious TriYoga centre in London before moving to Sydney and opening Samadhi Yoga in 2004 followed by Jivamukti Yoga Sydney which at its peak was a four-studio business and is still a thriving community today.

Her popular online courses have helped hundreds of women from all over the world in empower themselves.

She is the founder of the annual Bhakti Women Online Yoga Summit and the author of several internationally available books including ‘Mindful Living’ (Rockpool Publishing) 'Trust Life, Trust Yourself, Find Peace' (published by Affirm Press).

Katie helps women go from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to living a life that is vibrant, creative and abundant. She lives in Sydney, Australia with her five children in a loud and busy household where her meditation practice keeps her sane!

Edwina Peden

Edwina is wildly passionate about helping heart-led, spiritual entrepreneurs truly shine their unique brand online. She will guide you to embody the very soul and energy of your business, to uncover its true nature.
